I am currently donating a small amount of computer resources to projects like MW@H. I am very new to this arena and was hoping someone could help me understand if an update to the BOINC Manager was necessary. I currently run the 6.6.36 version with TThrottle v1.65 managing temps. Not sure on the rest but many have problems with 6.6.36 getting work. ((not everyone though))

6.6.36 was the first and only version of the BOINC Manager that I use. It seems to run okay for me (not sure I'd know if it wasn't to be honest) but I wasn't clear on whether or not I should always run the most current version to ensure opitimal utilization of resources. One of my PCs is currently using a 2xx nVidia GPU which was another reason I thought perhaps an update may be required but if not I'd just as soon stick with what's working. Please excuse my ignorance as all of this so is so very new to me and thanks again for your time.
