The Computer Science account server at RPI has crashed, making it hard for us to access the Milkyway@home server. The staff is working hard to restore it.

We have to wait this one out. In the meantime, the Milkyway@home server may start doing crazy things - please bear with us until we regain access. Thanks!

Some more info:

http://www.cs.rpi.edu/twiki/view/LabstaffWeb/Outage20110209

"Home directories will take at least a week." - another 2-3 days from now...

Everything is 'running' on the server status page, so maybe the system has calmed down. I can log onto the server but have limited access.

We will keep you updated.

This issue has been resolved - Milkyway@home is back to normal, and appears to be running smoothly.

Don't fret - I just had the server down for a bit today to do some work.

No worries - nothing to see here! :)

Werll, it looks like you have some more work to do -- waiting for validation is over 50K again...

It's back to normal then.
Doesn't expecting the unexpected make the unexpected the expected?
If it makes sense, DON'T do it.
