Could the project please add an option to allow volunteers to choose which applications they prefer to run?

TIA

I remember it's somewhere on the ToDo-List.

For the time being you can use an app_info.xml

Doen't this require information about CPU and GPU(s), since these are detected
by BOINC (6.12.34; 64bit). And probably in the preferences in your account, but
you are right, you can't actually choose an app for CPU, CPU+GPU, and GPU,
only*
* Some CPU use is always needed.

I run the 'standard or stock' application for ATI GPU, ati14. Which is(was) installed,
when I made an account, for this host. BOINC shows the available hardware, like
CPU, Memory, Harddisk and GPU(s).
(System is an I7-2600 + 2 HD5870 GPUs; 1000Watt psu. Real use is 520 Watt).
