Everything should be running on the new server now. |

I've got 33 WU to upload. I do an update and the server message is ( HTTP file not found ) and the upload doesn't happen. Whats up with that????? |

Must have taken a minute as mine is working just fine. I was able to return all of my completed ones but it said there are no new tasks to download, which is not surprising as EVERYONE now wants units! |

Getting the http file not found error as well.
After hitting update enough times, it downloaded the new master file and I got the your app_info does not have nbody.

I finally got through to report mine after BOINC fetched the master file. Not sure what prompted that.

Finally connected to server to report my tasks. I had to ALLOW NEW TASKS, then do an update request for it to work. Hadn't been able to report tasks in the last 24-hrs.
I don't know if the accounts are on the same server, but I cannot update my community prefs. I get a HTTP 500 Internal Server error. http://milkyway.cs.rpi.edu/milkyway/edit_forum_preferences_action.php

No WU for more than 12 days.
reset and re-attach the project didn't help

OK -- what has worked for me is a detach and rejoin at the workstation. This means any previously completed but not reported work (as none of us knew exactly when the server changeover was going to happen) is lost, but new work is available and the http failure is resolved.
I don't know the specifics of why that works and a reset doesn't work, but I'm sure some of the other users can speculate on this and perhaps let the folks at RPI know.

Maybe the new server is at a new ip address, and dns is taking its time. |

Did the detatch / attach and my gpu's are warming the room now. |

Could well be the case (I wonder if that is something that could have been avoided - possibly not).
The good news here with the 'detatch' approach, here is a case where the hyper short caches for GPU's actually mitigates. Even those with completed GPU work lose less than an hour of processed results. For my 4850's it is about an hour (though for most of them I suspended processing before the 12 units were completed).
Maybe the new server is at a new ip address, and dns is taking its time.

Hi.
Had the same problem: clicked on "Do network communications". The HTTP error message went away and all completed tasks were sent.
Also new tasks received, completed and sent.

Updated a few times and reset. Still get Http error. I'll give it a little before I detach/reattach. It also wouldn't upload the one completed wu I had, but when I checked under my account it was listed and credited, yet it remained in Boinc until I reset MW.

The HTTP error is somehow related to DNS changing and should go away if you restart BOINC. |
