Is is possible to have BOINC keep more work-units ready to crunch? With 7970 on default settings I can only keep about 1 hour worth of work. Because of this bug (http://boinc.berkeley.edu/dev/forum_thread.php?id=7454) in the latest BOINC and other issues sometimes my PC goes without an update for longer so the work stops. |

Yeah. I finally just wrote a script to manually update the project periodically. Change the Timeout parameter (seconds) to suit your needs. CHDIR C:\Program Files (x86)\BOINC :BEGIN boinccmd --project http://milkyway.cs.rpi.edu/milkyway update TIMEOUT /T 900 GOTO BEGIN |

See this thread: http://milkyway.cs.rpi.edu/milkyway/forum_thread.php?id=2855#54031 From BOINC client (7.0.25), click tools, preferences. Switch to Network preferences. Adjust "minimum work buffer" value. You want to increase it. |

I have it set to 3 days (default was 1 day) and it seems to have no effect. It seems like there is a maximum outstanding WU count per host enforced on the server |
