Hello, I observed a periodical drop with my credit output on milkyway. Every five days I encounter a drop of about 200000 credits. You can see it in the following graphic from Free-DC: https://www.sugarsync.com/pf/D7306442_66157210_921598 If it pleased the server, milkyway was running 24 hours on every day (with and without credit drop). So there was no significant difference in the number of crunched WU, but about 25 % loss on credits. Has anybody out there encountered similar behavior? Can anybody explain what happened to me? Thanks for your replies! Nowi |

Has anybody out there encountered similar behavior? Yes, see for example my stats. Or from anybody else, since I had a little Milkyway break, so you don't see it maybe so good on my stats. Can anybody explain what happened to me? Nothing happened to you, it's just how the stats export is done by milkyway (at least that's what I think). It seems that the export here is not done like at most other projects at a defined time of the day but a defined time after the last export (or some combination of this two). So if the load on the server was high during the last export and it finished little later, than the next starts little later. I was watching that once too and IIRC the stats are exported almost 4 times a day, which is than something like every 6 + something hours. So on stats sites you have on most of the days credit from 24 + something hours shown as the credit for the day and than every 3-5 days it's just the credit from 18 + something hours. At least that's my theory... |
