Usually I don't have to "closely" monitor my systems to make sure all is good, and so I was a bit lax in doing so the last several days. Holy Smokes! When I finally checked all systems to see how things were going it was a disaster!

So yes, some credit should be given for all of the faulty workloads that failed to crunch correctly due to programming errors. After all, add up all of the wasted computer time and electricity wasted, not to mention the mental stress of trying to get everything back to normal. (Yes, surprise...! many of us take this quite seriously.) And from what I can determine, there are still some problems. How many days has this gone on? And how many others out there tend to feel the same way?

Nyteshade--please realize that people working on Milkyway are grad students with other academic and family responsibilities. Noting that, however, I want to thank you for the thoughts and I have escalated your concerns to the Admins to further work on resolving this matter.

Ovrnight my system ran 1377 WU's with 62 invalid and 37 errors, so that is not to bad. It is already less than a week ago.
Greetings from,

I brought a new (used) computer online yesterday thinking to run just the CPU, work units that haven't been so touchy. With two cores and taking almost 5 hours to run... what does it do? It "computational errors out" on the second piece of work it manages to run... only after running the entire 5 hours.

What a waste of my time, my energy, everything.

There are LOTS of other Boinc Projects to run until MW gets its act back together again.
