Just got this task http://milkyway.cs.rpi.edu/milkyway/workunit.php?wuid=361047651 requiring an estimated 14,547,000 Gflops to complete in 9 days!!! Put another way, BM estimates it will take 15136 hours (630 days).

I know it takes time for the correction factor to kick in, but something is way off here.

I'll see your 15,136 hours, and raise you 18,119 hours - see this post in the news area.

That was WU 366163152: it completed in less than 15 hours.

Mine, like yours, was a "de_nbody_100k_chisq_alt" task - I agree that the project should look again at the <rsc_fpops_est> for that series.

Yours are just peanuts compared to mine!

Workunit 371442631 wants 76249 Hours (1270 days) to be completed by 22nd June 2013 using estimated 136483000 Gflops.

It's off and running so hopefully Dr. Who will assist with a bit of time travel to get it done in time.......

Like others mentioned is a "de_nbody_100k_chisq_alt" task delivered last night so problem persists.

Cheers,
