I had in the last few days 3 of 4 results returned and evaluated as "Fertig, Bestätigung nicht eindeutig" after more than 2200 sec CPU time. Only one result with 42sec was validated. Can anybody gelp me to explain that ? I Use a Intel Quad CPU with 2,5GHz, Windows 7 Pro x64 and BOINC 7.0.64. Thanks for help. YS Jochen from Germany |

Jochen from Germany - Don't worry about it. It is nothing you did. Check the other people who also received the workunit in question and you will most likely find everyone has "Validation inconclusive". Not every workunit (consisting of multiple tasks)completes successfully. |

I'm noticing a number of these as well. They eventually change status to "valid" and grant credit for the WU. Is this because the results were firmed up, or are we just getting credit for doing the work regardless of whether it returned any meaningful results? |

Basically all it means is that the results from the task were outside the range the validator was expecting, so it sends the task out again to a different host to make sure there wasn't a problem with the first one. Sometimes it even takes a couple of tries before the validator is convinced the results were accurate. |
