Einstein is only out of BRP4G, you can still crunch BRP5 (Perseus Arm) on your GPUs, there's plenty of work.

I still have about half a dozen brp4g units, maybe they are resends because my cache is only 0.5 days, but some of them are taking over 24 hours each and are still only at @60% finished so I too am aborting them I see them. The brp5 units were also taking forever, I am using an AMD 7970, as in the 4 to 5 hour range and they were having too many errors. I still do some, but no longer ONLY crunch for Einstein on those pc's.

Yes, now there are resends only, but there must be something wrong with your machine. On my HD7770 a BRP4G task takes ~2 hours to complete and I'm running 2 WUs/GPU. On a GF 660Ti, they take ~1 hour (again, 2 WUs). I haven't run them on HD7950, but your times are extremely high.

AMD 7970 83.15 runtime average over 5 units Boinc3
AMD 7970 88.25 runtime average over 5 units Boinc14
AMD 7970 88.24 runtime average over 5 units Backup2
AMD 5870 192.22 runtime average over 5 units Boinc1

That's enough for now.

Thx for the stats :)
What are the Boinc/backup names from? Names you've given your clients?
Btw any idea why the 2nd & 3rd 7970s are slower?

(I'll add stats latter/tomorrow).

Yes the names are the names of the machines, and they correspond to my earlier cpu time posts. They are also so I can add more stats later without repeating everything.

As for the slower units I am guessing older and slower cpu's, not every machine is identical, in fact almost none is exactly like any other. Ram, cpu, cooling, motherboard, case almost nothing is the same from machine to machine. I buy the parts on sale and build a machine out of what I have leftover from old machines, only buying new parts to upgrade or replace bad stuff. I have BINS and SHELVES of old stuff that will be reused or tossed eventually, probably when I move some day.

Lol, any C2Qs or HD 58xxs in that pile? ;)
Btw your grx cards all at stock clocks I assume?

New time from me, o/ced my 5850 to 775 MHz, 231s for 213.76 WUs :)
New table :-

So feel free to share your new scores for old & new GPUs & CPUs alike! :)
I will update the table as necessary.

Current CPU statistics ~ Average Time to Complete 1 213.76 credit WU :-

5.

OS Windows, unless otherwise stated.

Requirements for benchmark, validated 213.76 credit WUs only, average of 5 WU times*, dedicated CPU core for the GPU, please state clock speeds if overclocked (including factory o/cs) or state 'stock'. It would also be handy if you could state your BOINC & driver version & OS, incase it does make any odds.
Oh & for the benchmark please only crunch 1 WU at a time per GPU otherwise it will massively increase WU time, naturally ;) (even if it does increase output), and the WU times seem to fluctuate much more than singly crunched WU so you can't 1/2 the time either.

*I chose 5 thinking this will give a good enough average, but if you disagree LMK & LMK why :)

I have several AMD 5870's but they are not doing the units that get the right number of credits. They are doing the MilkyWay@Home v0.82 (ati14) units and finish each in the 90.23 second average range getting 159.86 credits for each unit.

Don't worry about the tasks that result in "Validation Inconclusive". These tasks nearly always validate eventually. I believe everyone gets a lot of these (I have 64 at the moment) and looking at your PC, none of these seem to be ending up as invalid.

I can't find the thread anymore, but I think it was explained to me once that it just designates a result that is a bit different from what the validator was initially "expecting".

Ah no worries, you've already given me a stock (presumably?) 5870 time anyway :).
What I was referring to were your piles of old PC bits, as in any spare C2Qs ;).

Btw I just had a quick scan of your valid 213.76 cred WUs & some were down to the low 500s.

Wow, that's a lot of stats! :)
Could you provide an average of the the 5 WU times? Aside from the last column I'm not sure what I'm looking at + it'll take sometime & I've got to east soon ;).
Oh don't worry about the pc doing 159.86 cred WUs, not comparable I'm afraid.

The numbers are:
Run time (sec) and CPU time (sec)

I provided both as I have no idea which you want.

I didn't think you really wanted the last one but it was only one more pc so decided what the heck.

Nearly forgot about this! :o

It's the runtime I want AFAIK, could you provide the average of each CPU please.

*******************************************************************************

Just remembered I took a screenshot of some WUs my old 4870 did just over a month ago, & by luck it's got 5 213.76 cred WUs in it! :), average is 503s, Cat 13.1, Win 7 ult 64bit, BOINC 7.2.33.
Although it didn't have a dedicated core I was running F@H at the time which plays nicely with MW, & if IIRC any time I looked at GPU load it was showing nr 100%.

Thanks, I appreciate your input, just wish my tired, burnt-out old Asus P6T7 WS could hold it's two HD7xxx cards without crashing....

Sure the PSU is upto it?

Btw I asked you this a few days ago :-

Btw I just had a quick scan of your valid 213.76 cred WUs & some were down to the low 500s.
Was the time you gave with the GPU at nr. 100% load?

So any spare C2Qs or 5850s? ;)

Also, you never did confirm if the results you gave for your grx cards were at stock MHz, are they?
