I have these two to spare ... the 610 is a PCI that fits on the same motherboard as the P3. Will the processor choke the whole thing?

Of course I am thinking of GPU work units.

it should work fine.

i have a pentium 2 machine with 2 pci gt430's was up and crunching for a while just for shits n giggles , wu's took maybe a 2 second slonger then when the cards were in my core dual machine

im thinking about getting 4 more of the gt430's to fill all the pci slots in that machine and use it soley as a gpu cruncher

also if im not mistaken the 610 has half the cuda cores of the 430 so it prolly wont run that fast

As long as you leave one cpu core free to feed the gpu you should be just fine.
