Both Adaware and Spybot tell me that the BitCoin Utopia download contains a Trojan,so much as I'd love to contribute, I think I'll pass It is the activity of the project, not the actual files, that is triggering your a/v. For most people just excluding the Boinc directories from your a/v will work just fine, for a few of us we have to let the files thru then tell our a/v they are okay. If the files are a real virus they WILL try to break out of the Boinc directories and get caught by your a/v program. But if they are in fact 'false positives' then they will happily do their own thing with no problems. IF they are a virus but never leave the Boinc directories, who cares, they aren't infecting my pc, or anyone elses pc except perhaps the project, and they should, and in fact do, have their own a/v program. |
