Hi there,

out of a sudden i get validate errors on Nvidia GPUs:
https://milkyway.cs.rpi.edu/milkyway/results.php?hostid=616064&offset=0&show_names=0&state=5&appid=

I didn't change anything and it seems to happen randomly?
Temperature is normal and the rest seems to be fine.
Aloha, Uli

There was a bad run of tasks over the weekend. Lots of errors and invalids. Just wait for them to finally clear out.

You won't believe me, how i fixed this:
I recently installed BOINC 7.8.2 and at the same time the errors occurred on only one GPU - the GT 430, the GT 640 was fine.
So i reinstalled BOINC 7.6.33 and guess what - the errors on the GT 430 are gone! :O

[edit] Regarding the bad run:
The bad run WUs error out after few seconds, these were fully crunched.
Aloha, Uli

There a discussion over on the dev boards that 7.8.2 really wasn't ready for release. The Manager is fine but the client has issues. One solution is to use 7.6.33 client with the 7.8.2 Manager. You will have to decide whether the older 7.6.33 Manager is just fine for your own use.

I posted a thread over at the BOINC boards:
http://boinc.berkeley.edu/dev/forum_thread.php?id=11881
But unfortunately it is being completely ignored. :/

Problem seems to be solved by BOINC 7.8.3 :)

Problem still exists. Probably 200 of my WUs are not valid. (Done, confirmation not possible)
Example: http://milkyway.cs.rpi.edu/milkyway/workunit.php?wuid=1529037552
MilkyWay@Home v1.46, WIN 10, Nvidia.

hsdecalc -

You have upwards of 200 that aren't validated yet because they have to be compared to other users results. They are not "can't be validated".

Of the few tasks that you had that were "invalid" (approx. 10), you will notice that every other user shows them "invalid" too. This suggests there was something wrong in the data not your computer.

You also have about 4 that were "error". Sometimes that happens.
