Hey Everyone,

I just put up a bunch of new runs named:

de_modfit_XX_bundle4_4s_NoContraintsWithDisk_1

where XX goes from 09 to 23.

Let me know if you see any issues with these runs here.

Thanks everyone,

Jake

Any particular reason these runs are bundled in 4s rather than 5s?

They appear to have 26 parameters instead of 20 in the previous tasks. And, judging by the elapsed time for these new tasks on my GPU it looks as if 4*26 parameters takes about the same time as 5*20 (!)

Obviously, this consistency of run time would be more significant for folks running CPU tasks - an increase of about 25% CPU time (likely with 5 per batch) might not go down quite so well there!...

I've always been a CPU only contributer to Milkyway.

but if it's a workunit flop size for the generator to handle that makes sense.

All working fine here on two GPUs (R9 290 and RX 560), although some were stalling for an extra 4 minutes (on top of the usual 5 minutes GPU runtime) on my brand new machine (the RX 560). But now they're not stalling for the last 24 hours. Yet when I restarted the computer just now, it's now stalling again. Maybe the card's dodgy and needs to warm up?!

Have trashed about 113 tasks so far on Windows7 64 bit and BOINC 7.8.3.

These tasks have issues.

They're working on both my AMD GPUs. Perhaps there's a bug in the Nvidea GPU code? Has anyone else got a Nvidea GPU that can tell us whether they work ok or not?

Only see a lot of "Validation inconclusive" on Windows 10
Seeing the same "Error while computing" on my Windows 7 Rig now.

I never thought about the OS, didn't think that would make a difference. There are people still using 7? 10 is free you know....

Removing Drivers running DDU installing SAME Drivers. 390.65

Some how or some way Windows Updates may have caused an issue with 390.65.
After a fresh Driver install all is working now.
Now to install the KB's one at a time

Not Really and BOINC GPU Projects run much better that Windows 10

I didn't notice my projects slowing when I upgraded to 10.

And this says it's free if you don't want a few unimportant personalisation things. I have one machine not activated and it runs fine. It's not my main machine so maybe a few little things might annoy me if I was using it directly, but it's fine for Boinc which is all it does:

Hey everyone,

Sorry, I've been sick the last week or so. Seems like there have been a few issues, but I am not really sure what they are. Some also seem to be Nbody issues, Sidd has been informed about them, and I have encouraged him to be active on the forums. Hopefully he will be.

Any separation issues can be posted here and I will take a look at them.
