HI Everyone!!! I've never seen the "Sound of Music" either. At least not all of it, I've turned it off a number of times, its just not my cup of tea.
;-p

Bruce, I'm surprised with you. It's everyone's duty to grin and bear it at least once in their lifetime. You might find it easier to visit Mecca, but you just gotta get with the 'hills are alive' just the once at least ;)

As I said I've tried to watch it at least 4 times, just couldn't do it!!

Try a straightjacket, shackles and a device to keep the eyes open ;)p

Maybe a glass of "Mescamilk" would calm me down enough to sit through it, but I doubt it.

If its this difficult for him, maybe he just shall avoid that movie. He is obviously not strong enough to look at such heavy stuff.
If he stay away from it - he might survive it - even if he has missed out on some historical minutes. ;-))

Bruce - Im sure there are more suitable movies out there for you.. ;-D

I'm afraid as far as movies go, I like the ridiculous comedies the best! My favorites are Monty Pythons movies & movies like Airplane 1 & 2, Tropic Thunder & the Disaster Movie.

Ohhh, yes, one of Kubrick's masterpieces. I've always loved that movie ever since the first time I watched it. I've actually read the novel by Anthony Burgess in a wonderful translation.

Not sure if this counts but, quite a few people have told me I was sick in the head over the years(None of them were mental health professionals), even my Mom calls me the family nutbar(In fun of course). Well from my point of view I dont think anybody is really 100% a-ok, no-one I've met anyways. I think you have to be at least a little bit crazy or the world will drive you nuts! Not a long drive for me!!!

Well, you certainly have to be a little bit crazy to want to post on boards like this !! But I guess it's all relative. I think I'm pretty normal, and to do my job I've had to go through certain checks to make sure I am.

It is important to distinguish between character, individuality, eccentric, mentally ill etc. However all these have a part to play in society and the scheme of things.
