Post: What little work people have gotten are either trst units so that the lab staff can evaluate the situation or they might have been units that were not returned in time and they were re-issued. That's my guess. |

Post: This freezing must be much more common on some set-ups than others cause I have only had 1 freeze a week ago on my slowest machine(2.8P4HT),and none on any of 5 other hosts....almost sounds like it is a conflict with a program running.... It does sound like older versions of OS like Windows seem to have more conflicts for some reason. The only problems I have had is the d/l issue (just had one). |

Post: You should be able to d/l upto 20 at a time. Try suspending all other projects to see if that changes anything. Might be a long shot but see what happens. |

Post: I would abort the Wu and the transfer that would still be listing and then update. Sometimes you get several that are like this and other times you will get all working WUs. |

Post: As mentioned in other threads, the WU will progress to 100% then the percent complete will reset and count up slowly to about .150%. The first part is the WU crunching and the reset does some kind of internal validation or something. Anyway it is perfectly normal for this to happen. Some of them seem to be missing a file. This somehow causes the system to stop d/l new WUs. If you get one abort the WU (Task Tab) and the transfer file (transfer tab in BOINC Manager). Anyway welcome to the MW@H! Try not to get frustrated with the errors that we run into and know that it is an Alpha project and therefore will have problems. Acmefrog |

Post: Yes it appears that everyone is having the download error that blocks the other WUs. Can anyone say Alpha? Hopefully this can be resolved soon. Guess this just serves as a reminder to have a back up project that can take over if something goes wrong. |

Post: I have had that happen once in a while. I have found that if I suspend that WU and let the processor work on another, when I un-suspend it another core will finish it. |
