Yes, he was a queer boy.......granted.

But, he was a great artist, who's talents were quashed way too early, wearn't they?

He worked hard, and everybody put him down......yean, yeah, yeah.

K.....I will put down my bigotry and opinions for awhile.........

Because he believed in somebody.......anybody......everybody......

Just wanted.......Somebody to Love......

And I know that pain.

My bad boy......

Not exactly a hemi stroker, but I did drill out the metering jets and upped the spring tension on the governor.....I guess I got about .5 more HP.....and she rips through the lawn like nothing else......gotta hang onto this baby.
The neighbors all wonder when I fire this one up....
I wish that Lawnboy woulda kept the downfiring muffler setup.

AFAIK, nobody makes 2 strokes anymore.........another sigh.

And I never owned a big block Monaco.......
But I did own many 455 Electras...most of from which I tossed #8 rod......they had a notorious problem with getting enough oil to the back of the block under high rpm's. Then in '72, they discontinued the Buick 455. Sigh.

Fastest Buick I ever had was my '69 GS 400 Skylark. Somebody had played with the motor before I bought it. Aluminum case Muncie tranny with a Hurst T-Shifter. 145mph flat out. At 7,500 rpm.......that was moving for a Detroit based motor. I think it was a bored out small block.....which would make sense.....the big blocks would never rev that high without blowing up.

Most fun though, was the '69 Electra with the 455....blew a few Camaro's off with that one......what a sleeper.
A pair of headers and a few cheap carb mods.....you could play heck with a Quadra Jet just by spending a few hours in the junkyard and finding the right metering rods.......or by spending a few hours in the basement carefully buffing the heck outta them to thin the bottom ends out.

This clip is sofa king great........
Not just for the Illinois Nazis reference, but for the motor sounds.........

I used to have a 455 Buick Electra that I took the air cleaner cover and flipped it upside down. This left about an inch between the bottom and the top.....plenty of room for the 4bbl Quadra Jet to roar through.

When you put the pedal to the metal, not only did your bottom get a tickle, but your ears did too.....v-roooooooooooooooom.

First.....the Blues Brothers Illinois Nazi clip........

Gangway....

Then a Buick clip to prove what I was talking about......

Gangway II

I am gone for awhile.......

Seti is parsing out the last of the split WUs and resends.

Bandwidth is terrific, and I must abuse the buttons so the kitties get as much kibble as they can put into their bowls.

Be back in a bit...or a kilobit.

Meow meow.

But this is the fastest bona fide lawnmower in the world.

Billet crank Briggs and Stratton.

Weak point in any lawnmower for sure.

Cheap Trick - Ain't That A Shame

Cheap Trick......Surrender......
They just seem a little weird.....or is that wired?

For those who just came into puberty.....

Cheap Trick was the seminal puck rock band before it became chic.

Hard driving guitar courtesy of Rick the wild man Nielsen, the lead man.
Rock solid drums via Bun......who ever heard of a rock star named Bun?
Zander was the vocalist.......and he was one of a kind.
TP was forgotten in the dense fog surrounding the group.

They came out of Illinois......home of the Illinois Nazis......which Jake hated so much in the Blues Brothers.....LOL. The Mall sequence.

Full screen in the viewing of the Blues Brothers.......has been approved.

Interesting subtitles for those of you who are Blues Brothers impaired.
And if you happen to own an original 8 track copy of the song......
It's probably going for a mint now on ebay.

About 100 miles to my south.

The boards are dead from the lack of response to problems and questions over the last year.

I am well aware of the reasons........
One of which is my lack of presence.

Now......can you translate latin?
