Has anyone had any success in getting a Raedeon HD3850 AGP card to successfully crunch MW on the card? I downloaded the 9.4 hotfix for AGP cards, copied & renamed the ATI files, and all I get is an error message that output file xxxx... for task xxxx.... not found. What am I missing? PC is a AMD 754 socket with a 3400 CPU SSE, SSE2, SSE3 capable. Power supply is Ultra 550W X3 (modular). Thanks.

I think I saw a post from Poorboy about his 3850 AGP card & hotfix. I'm wondering how it can be accomplished?

Hi,
I tried the driver version 9.4 with my 3850AGP just before it died. Before that I used the driver version 8.12 and it work without problem (8.12 or 9.4). I just follow the instruction in the readme file. On Windows XP Pro SP3.

SAPPHIRE 100228L Radeon HD 3850 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 AGP 4X/8X

Most likely something in between not notable and none.
But be aware that for the same price you could get more than twice the power with a HD4800 series card (not AGP of course).

Thanks for the info.

I only have one computer with AGP capable of using that card and I must change the power supply to accomodate it. :)

Hi,

I know it's old technology but what about this card?

SAPPHIRE 100228L Radeon HD 3850 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 AGP 4X/8X

How much speed loss because of the AGP Bus?

Thanks
