cc_config.xml doesn't that go into the data directory?
C:\ProgramData\BOINC
What does the cc_config do? I ran a 6970 for awhile and boinc worked fine, i cant recall if I needed to edit the cc_config other than to tell boinc to not use the CPU, but that option is now in the gui.

Edit:
http://boinc.berkeley.edu/wiki/Client_configuration says data directory.

I've got three work units that failed because of an undefined BACKGROUND_PROFILE is there any way I can fix this? my computer was hung one morning, maybe these were due to this?

I have a task on seti and I'm worried it might expire before I can download it, their servers haven't been liking me for awhile.

Sometimes its overload, other times its hardware, automatic reboots would easily make things worse.

I assume the Deadline increase was for folks that have problems or are running CPU. I get 24 at a time now and finish them in 96 minutes.

drtfp? First post says so, yes.

This makes me very happy. In my spare time i'm trying to come up with a good way to measure the efficiency of a computer running as a heater.

I've been running milkyway on a node thats also running seti and einstein and have encountered no long term issues with milkyway hogging the node.

Deadlines are currently 7 days
