(Message 62871)
Posted 21 Dec 2014 by Dave Post: Just looked at my account. Recent statistics for NBody: 65 validated 15 error while computing 14 invalid 97 validation inconclusive Nearly all of these are 1.46, with a few 1.44. Other types of Milky Way work are completing without problem. This is on an i7-5960x The nbody workunits each use all 16 threads. /Dave |

Posted 21 Dec 2014 by Dave Post: ps_nbody_08_05_orphan_sim_0_1413455402_437700_4 has been running for over 4 hours. It shows 44% complete and 1:06:46 time remaining. The time remaining and the percent complete are both increasing, very slowly. Looks like it will never finish. I'm aborting it now. This is on all 16 threads of an i7-5960x overclocked to 4.0 GHz. /Dave |

Posted 17 Dec 2014 by Dave Post: How can we identify the new version? I really don't want to run nbody until I'm sure the old versions are flushed out of the system. /Dave |

Posted 7 Dec 2014 by Dave Post: Two issues with de_nbody_08_05_orphan_sim_0_1413455402_859206_0 a: it has acquired all 16 threads of m i7-5960x processor, but is actually only using about 2 threads at a time (overall cpu use averaging around 15%, and use bouncing around sort of randomly among all threads) b: It has run over 91 hours, and percent complete is stalled at about 91.558. I'm aborting now. /Dave |
