Thanks, will look into the CPU commands in the link and will give it a try.
The two clients, one for GPU and CPU sounds less of a pain if i can figure it out, and if not I'll be back.

CPU 1700x 3200mhz ram @ 3850mhz: GPU 1 290xt @ 1050mhz 4gb @ 1350mhz ram: 110s per two WU, .25 CPU use, or 65s single WU.

Same system:

GPU 1 7970 @ 1050mhz 3gb @ 1425mhz: 77s per two WU, .25 CPU use, or 45s single WU.

AMD users use two WU!!!

Well if you are getting 100 sec per WU or less. 6970 has good 64 performance. Using two Wu in parallel you are good. look if you are maintaining an even 100 percent work use in AMD/ATI control panel. Use two WU to maintain 100 GPU use.

I use .25 CPU per WU but i am using a 1700x at 3950 your CPU will matter.

Is what i would suggest

You do have to have a monitor or a dummy plug hooked up to the 4870. Also you have to force it to run with a cc_config.xml

<cc_config>
<options>
<use_all_gpus>1</use_all_gpus>
</options>
</cc_config>

works fine in my setup, good luck.

Thanks Beyond and loekaodas, It was the client I went from 109 sec to 74 sec, just by updating the client. Boy I wouldn't think it would affect it like that.

your help was appreciated.

Been running this card for a month trying to pin the RAC, but its been hard with the WU server having problems keeping this card and a 4870 fed. Its looking to me a daily rate of 130,000 avg? Does anyone else have the card and can give me some feedback I was looking for a bigger boost I think my old 4870 gave me 90k.

Thanks,
