Description	Humanity United is a global BOINC team that symbolizes the ideal of all humans working together to contribute to a brighter future of the human race. We believe in people from all across the Universe (which for us humans consists only of planet Earth for now... perhaps not for long...) putting aside their differences and being part of a united project. We aim for breaking down the barriers of nationality, language and culture, race and physical appearance, gender, religion and other beliefs, bridging geographical distances and time zones, and focusing not on what sets and tears us apart, but on what we can achieve together. By donating our computing power to BOINC projects we hope to achieve goals such as: - Enriching our global shared knowledge and contributing to the technological advancement of the human race (by giving science projects the computing power they need). - Getting to know ourselves better (our biology, the structure and role of DNA, the workings of our cells and that of the human brain). - Developing cures for diseases that kill humans in large numbers. - Getting to know our Universe better (the galaxies, stars, planets and small space objects, the cosmic events, the origin and the future of the Universe). - Saving ourselves from global disasters and minimizing the chance of the extinction of our species by detecting and possibly preventing natural disasters (destructive climate changes, earthquakes, etc.) and cosmic cataclysms (large asteroid impacts, exploding near supernovas and gamma ray bursts, etc.). Let us stand united and contribute to what makes us unique most of all: knowledge.
