I'm a Integration, Messaging and Solutions Architect working in both the Information Services and Telecoms sectors in the UK.
I welcome the fact that my industry has been able to become such an enabler, as exemplified by BOINC. Bringing participation and positive contribution towards science and discovery, through the wealth of ever-evolving and accessible technologies to so many global, community-minded participants is a truly amazing, personally rewarding and satisfying experience. |

1 - I run MilkyWay@Home because of the fundemental importance I place in understating the structures and dynamics of the place we inhabit.
2 - I believe the project to be one of the better thought-out and managed (on a shoestring budget!) than many of the much "bigger hitters", concerning itself not just with the primary scientific goal but also the optimisation andefficiency of method to accomplish its ambition.
