I have MW@H set to run 10% of the time on a Q6600. It used to process MW WU no problem about 4 hr per processor. No idea what happened. I get the following msg:
2009-08-27 10:47:13 Milkyway@home Sending scheduler request: To fetch work.
2009-08-27 10:47:13 Milkyway@home Requesting new tasks for CPU
2009-08-27 10:47:19 Milkyway@home Scheduler request completed: got 0 new tasks
2009-08-27 10:47:19 Milkyway@home Message from server: No work sent
2009-08-27 10:47:19 Milkyway@home Message from server: (won't finish in time) BOINC runs 98.9% of time, computation enabled 100.0% of that

Any help appreciated.
Thanks Art

I say your long term debt built up for MW since you run seti mainly. It should sort itself out soon and run Mw again. If you don't want to wait hit 'reset' for MW in boinc and it'll get you going for a bit or change the Ltd's in Boinc. (more complicated option)

Or if you changed to Bonic 6.6.36 it gives problems.

In fact I am running x.36. What's the cure for that, regress?

PS...What is a LTD?

Thanks Art

PSS: Nice fotos!

Edit: Oh. Long Term Debt. I don't know what that means or what is possible to do about it.
2nd Edit: I have another quad with GTX275 that began processing CUDA WU immediately I signed it onto MW earlier today.

I would say to change Bonic versions. I would go with per 6.x for non-gpu or 5.10.45(for ati). I'm not sure what is best for GPUs. Check out the other topics on that & the 6.10 topic.

Old Versions --> http://boinc.berkeley.edu/dl/?C=M;O=D

Long term debt builds when one project runs for a while and it builds time that it 'owes' the other projects. At some point it won't run that project untill it evens out. To solve this 1) change the resource %, 2) suspend other projects and force to get work, 3) use 'reset project'(also deletes all files and if any mods or optimised app was used it will need reinstalled)(may not last a long time) 4)by changing it manually in the 'client state' file in boinc.

That is what I can think of right now.

re-pss: Thanks. I took them myself at an air show.

Gets curiouser and curiouser. The latest from Boinc messages:

question of the hour, why was MW detached? I didn't do that. MW is most definitely a project in my boinc list. It was active for about 12 hours cranking out a CUDA WU each 10 min before the above occurred. Help please!

Why do you have 2 accounts on BAM.

]8/27/2009 9:27:41 PM Contacting account manager at http://bam.boincstats.com/
8/27/2009 9:27:42 PM Account manager: BAM! User-ID: 3911
8/27/2009 9:27:42 PM Account manager: BAM! Host-ID: 161313

Most likely one has MW and the other does not.

Beats me. But I see one is a user (I know about that one) and one a host (I guess that means one PC). I'll look into it, thanks for pointing it out.
EDIT: Host 161313 is the one detached in my post below. Unfortunately I don't know how to fix this or why that PC has its own account. Something to do.

User-ID is the number associated with your user account. Host-ID identifies your computer which is a different number. Everyone has 1 User-Id and 1 Host-id * number of computers ever attached to Bam. This is normal behaviour for Bam.

Sorry my last post vanished!

I had this when I updated Boinc, I backed out to 6.6.31 and have no further problems with this message.

If you don't have a copy then thr this link, you should find the version you need whatever your OS!
