Hot off the presses, for me anyway.
Though the use of a fake Fermi board at a recent product demo for the media should have been an indication.

This is not news to cheer about ...

Even if you don't like Nvidia, who is going to keep ATI on its toes should Nvidia go belly up?

Look at MW when IE won the browser wars... it was not updated for several years until Firefox came out and started to make serious inroads ...

Just something to keep in mind.

One more point, without competition, ATI can start to push prices higher ...

No, this is not good news at all ...

Intel – That’s who.

Even if Nvidia “disappears” due to their recent series of poor decisions ,
Intel will step up to the plate as AMD\ ATI’s main
competitor in the GPU wars. As they currently are for CPU’s.

Intel has vast resources ( they could ‘Buy” Nvidia without blinking an eye. )
and, put the former Nvidia engineers to good use.

Just as Nvidia did long ago with 3DFX !

If Intel decided to, they could be most formidable against ATI
in the GPU wars

They already have a lot of GPU know-how right now.

They could ... but so far they haven't ...

If they do, I agree, they could ...

But so far they haven't ... :)

Let's wait and see what happens; no point putting too much stock in rumors.

I think Nvidia could very well be in Big Trouble.

This should be a wake-up call for GPU oriented projects that they should be working hard on either a Brook/CAL version or an OpenCL version ...
