Do I reinstall the entire BOINC app on the RAMdisk or just certain files?
I have the RAMdisk working on a 4GB thumb drive with Windows TEMP and TMP files.

i have the same thing in xp and use the same files.would like an answer to this to.it speeds thing up quite well.

Checkpointing and rewriting the system state file are the most common disk activities. So, you would need to put pretty much both directories on the RAM disk to get the benefit.

Though with most OS caching writes and most disks having hardware caches I am not sure you are going to see all that much of a speed increase...
