Hi all I have a little problem. Runing Windows 7 32bit machine with 280GTX. When I connect remotely to the machine via mstsc (microsoft remote desktop), VGA becomes disabled, becomes disabled and CUDA crounching stops. If I'm away from home for a week, this is a problem. Under device manager, card is still active, not disabled. Any idea what to do? |

Simple Don't use remote access while you are away? Go away, I was asleep ![]() ![]() |

It's a known issue. Not sure about any fix. |

You could try using a different remote access program. I use www.logmein.com because it doesn't disable the GPUs during the time the remote desktop is being accessed. |

In windows, remote desktop (when active) replaces loaded graphics drivers with some M$'s virtual drivers, and thus effectively disabling all GPU computation abilities. The only known solution is to use other RD/VNC software that doesn't touch the graphics drivers. I use TightVNC. BR, ![]() |

These other remote access gateways at least give you the potential to give you the remote PC monitoring without the loss of GPU crunching. I was unsure whether these existed, so at least there is a potential solution. Go away, I was asleep ![]() ![]() |

The only difference between actual and potential solution is whether you try it or not. :) Cheers! ![]() |
