Boinc detects cards this way: ATI GPU 0: ATI Radeon HD5700 series Juniper ( CAL Version 1.4.792, 1024MB, 1360 GFLOPS peak ) ATI GPU 1: ATI Radeon HD 4700/4800 (RV740/RV770) series ( CAL Version 1.4.792, 512MB, 960 GFLOPS peak ) Collatz runs without problems on boths cards. http://boinc.thesonntags.com/collatz/show_host_detail.php?hostid=40101 When boinc asks for WUs, Milky reports: Message from server: No work sent. Message from server: An ATI GPU supporting double precision math is required. Message from server: Your computer has no NVIDIA GPU. But ATI 4770 has DP. How to get work for Milky ? |

Hi, I've a Q6600 host with a HD5770 and an EAH4850, the 5770 can only used in Projects using Single Precision application/calculations. The 4850, supports Double Precision. Gonna swap the 5770 (S.P.)for a 5850 0r 5870, both Double Precision Single precision, is only supported by Collatz C. and DNETC.(Don't know if I've the name correct). And Bêta testing AstroPulse app.'s, OpenCL; BROOK/OpenCL, at SETI Bêta, which is also down at the moment. BOINC (6.10.56; 32BIT) gives a warning, about the 5770(Device 0), but uses, after checking Device 1: EAH4850, even when another M.W task is already running on this card. But it doesuse the card, whithout problems. Knight Who says Ni |
