So I happened to wind up checking out the Op Apps on Arkayn's site and saw there was a SSE2 version of the GPU app. Will this give increased performance when compared to the stock app? And is it enough of a boost with a 3870 to bother doing it? Thanks guys! ::Edit:: I'd do the testing myself, but it's my parents computer that I slapped an old graphics card into. So not the easiest for testing! ;) |

The stock app is the exact same app as the optimized app, the only difference is the app_info which allows you change some of the parameters. |

Since all the latest CPU's, AMD, INTEL, (VIA & CYRIX?), are capable of doing SSE2, this is made the 'stock' or standard application. CPU is needed to 'load and unload' the GPU('s), I'm not sure if SS(S)Ex.x applies to the GPU capabillities. I'm still a 'nobody', concerning GPU capabillities....... Knight Who says Ni |
