In the BOINC Manager:
Click on the Advanced tab; then
Click on Preferences ... ; then
When the dialoge box opens click on the "disk and memory usage" tab.

Change "Use at most __________ Gigabytes disk space" to a larger number than you currently have.

This is happening at Rosetta too. They are also using Boinc 6.10.58. Try changing versions.

*edit* Suggestion was to increase your alotted space .5gb larger than the pie chart shows in Boinc.
Doesn't expecting the unexpected make the unexpected the expected?
If it makes sense, DON'T do it.

I had this happen today. It seems that under Boinc -> 'Preferences', 'Leave at least xx Gigs of disk space free' If you don't have xx amount of space left on your harddrive Boinc won't get work and keeps saying you need xx amount of space in the messages. Lowering the limit or creating the space again fixed it immediately.
