I'm sending work out again. Let me know how its working -- and if you're getting more than 3 wus per core and 3 wus per GPU.

I got 24 tasks, then 12, then 22 and sent 1 completed back in 8 minutes clock time on quad core with one 4870.
Edit: ALL ATI WU's.

Message 47299 - Posted: 9 Apr 2011, 22:17:11 UTC

Getting way too many - over 50 now. I have set NNT for the moment.

On startup I got what looked to be the correct number, then all failed, computation error. Had a look, I used to run an app_info, which I had deleted, but left 0.23 in the directory.

So I reset MW. Seemed fine, but noticed it was running 0.23 against the new workunits, the reset had not downloaded the new application. Then quickly saw that WUs were still coming in limited only by the BOINC cache setting (I have it as 0.04 as a safety backstop, fortunately.

I have not checked to see if the crunched WUs (with 0.23) have validated.

It would seem on the face of it that 0.23 gets round the WU limits - wild guess.

I have not reset again. Do you want it to reset or try again as is ?

Regards
Zy

Well, it shouldn't be. I'll look into it when I've reassembled my desktop.

Do we abort these we have running now as I don't see any valid or pending in my account...and they are slowing my Q6600 to a crawl with no CPU tasks running...

They should get credit (as long as they return a valid result). I'm not generating any new workunits for the time being, until we figure out why the WU limits aren't working.

Not here, only 0.05CPU.

That's what it says, but it's busy waiting for the GPU to finish things which I thought I fixed months ago.

And it's ~25% slower compared to the old app... that sucks :(
