http://milkyway.cs.rpi.edu/milkyway/hosts_user.php the first one is my laptop which has the 9800m gts. It's only working on cpu tasks. Any ideas? |

I'm pretty sure the reason is the 9800M GTS doesn't support double precision floating point. If you check the message log right after starting up BOINC, or after an MW work request it will give the details and/or reason. |

Yes, thats the reason. The 9800GTS doesn't support double precision floating point calculations, which are required for Milkyway@Home gpu applications. Nvidia supports double precision on th gtx200 series and newer. Ati does that on 58xx and 69xx cards. |

As well as the 38xx and the 48xx I am currently using a 3850 on Milkyway, and my 4850 is now resting as a spare "just-in-case of GPU failure" Go away, I was asleep |
