It looks like the computation errors you're getting are the maximum time elapsed problem (from using the new credit system). Working on a fix for that now -- it looks like CPUs aren't erroring out because of that anymore, but GPUs are.

For the people who are having WUs error out, are you using an anonymous platform?

I have three systems, all running the MT version of the NBody code on CPUs (no GPUs)

The 32-bit runs fine on the dual processor system, without an app_info file.
Both 64bit systems with 12 cores fail immediately, both with and without an app_info file.

So the problem is not isolated to just the GPU systems.

I deleted your host_app_version entries from the database. Nothing looked particularly out of the ordinary, but I heard this could sometimes fix it.

Let me know if it helped at all.

3 up - three down - all immediate computation errors

Thanks for the effort.

I'm not such a big player, so I think that I will go elsewhere for a while and come back later.

Thanks.

I can't tell if all of them are validating or not. They are all deleted from my list of workunits so fast that I never get a chance to tell. However, the recent increase in credits says that at least some are validating.

Currently only GPU workunits enabled

Message 49022 - Posted: 26 May 2011, 7:53:12 UTC - in response to Message 48564.

Hi.
I'm a Milkyway user on FreeBSD 8.2.
All my workunit status is "Validate error" but I don't understand how to fix or investigate the problem.

Milkyway version is "18".

Bye!

That means I need to update the FreeBSD port... It's not an easy task, but I'll try!

Thanks!
