I'm running a GPU-only host on a dual core computer and my cache limit is set to 12 tasks - equaling 20 minutes.

Now i noticed a wingman with a CPU-only host http://milkyway.cs.rpi.edu/milkyway/show_host_detail.php?hostid=302135 and a cache of more than 2700 tasks - equaling 2,000,000 minutes or more than 3 years????

Is there no cache limit in effect for the CPU app - or is this just a bug?

Yes, it is the same for all users - CPU or GPU.

That person likely doesn't have 2700 tasks on their computer. They are all timing out.

Some users have had the limit of 10000 tasks. Read the "Questionable Cruncher" threads for a little more info.
Doesn't expecting the unexpected make the unexpected the expected?
If it makes sense, DON'T do it.
