As of January 11, I am not getting any work units. In fact, I have not gotten any WUs sinc the server update. The pertinent messages in the event log are: 1/11/2012 20:56:50 | Milkyway@home | Sending scheduler request: To fetch work. 1/11/2012 20:56:50 | Milkyway@home | Requesting new tasks for NVIDIA GPU 1/11/2012 20:56:53 | Milkyway@home | Scheduler request failed: HTTP file not found Any ideas? EDIT - OK - so I did not see the above post with the same messages. Here is what worked for me on Windows 7: Shutdown BOINC Command prompt - ipconfig /flushdns Restart BOINC I am not running DHCP so ipconfig /release and ipconfig /renew have no meaning for my machine. |

I am not running DHCP so ipconfig /release and ipconfig /renew have no meaning for my machine. A detatch (not reset) and reattatch will do it. Regards Zy |

I've been getting this message for the last 2 days. 1/13/2012 11:08:32 AM | Milkyway@Home | Scheduler request failed: Unrecognized or bad HTTP Content or Transfer-Encoding 1/13/2012 11:08:35 AM | | Project communication failed: attempting access to reference site 1/13/2012 11:08:39 AM | | Internet access OK - project servers may be temporarily down. Everything seems ok on server status and other projects are running normally, only milkyway@home is having a problem. Tried on other machines and same errors. Is this server side concern? |

I've been getting this message for the last 2 days. May be a regional problem. I've seen this message also some times, it lasts between some minutes and some hours. Somewhen in last autum I posted that and got an answer from Travis, http://milkyway.cs.rpi.edu/milkyway/forum_thread.php?id=2632&nowrap=true#51489 MW did not see this from their side. But now the server is a new one ... Anyway, I've not seen this in last 3 weeks here. Alexander |

Yeah, i read that thread before posting my original message. Figuring it's server side coz it worked for a couple of hours and just stopped at sending back some wu. I'll try it on a 3rd machine and different ISP, see if that works. Really want this project up and running seeing it's the only that give's decent wu for an old ati card i have. Thanks.. Lewic |

Yeah, i read that thread before posting my original message. Collatz can use older ATI cards and Moo pays really well but I do not know about the older cards, it does take ATI cards though. |

Thanks Mikey. I tried moo and its running fine, Collatz is getting same error though.I tried mw@h on a different machine/isp and it's working perfectly for the last 8 hours. So I'm thinking its not a server issue, I'll check with provider and give it some time. Glad to have something running on the gpu now. |

I'm not getting Milkyway GPU work units anymore. Getting plenty of CPU WU's though. I've tried detaching and re-attaching the project, rebooting, etc, but BOINC keeps requesting GPU work, but Milkyway sends none. I am getting GPU work from GPUGRID. Operating System: Windows 7 Professional 64bit, Service Pack 1 BOINC: 7.08 for Windows 64bit (yah, I know it a test version, but better to find problems now) Processor: 4 GenuineIntel Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q9550 @ 2.83GHz [Family 6 Model 23 Stepping 10] NVIDIA GPU: (4 GPU's, on 2 cards) GeForce GTX 295 (driver version 285.62, CUDA version 4.10, compute capability 1.3, 896MB, 821MB available, 1081 GFLOPS peak) Any help or comments would be appreciated. Thanks in advance, Rick |

BOINC: 7.08 for Windows 64bit (yah, I know it a test version, but better to find problems now)That's outdated; it's up to at least 7.0.11. There is some thread on the boinc_dev list about GPU starvation with those versions. |

Oop! OK, thanks. Rick One other thing with the 7.?.? versions is the two cache settings in the Boinc Manager are NOT used the same as in previous versions! In the 7 versions the "connect about every" setting is a HARD number, meaning Boinc does NOT connect to a project looking for more work if that number is not reached yet, too short and it doesn't connect either. They are trying to get people to use SMALLER caches, so they are sorta penalizing those with larger ones. This setting may change as it gets towards release but don't count on it. IOW play with the settings to see what works and what doesn't. |

ATI isn't even a selection in the preferences anymore. How does that get missed? |
