This happened on one of my machines. I had 7-days worth of workunits ready to be crunched away, and when I logged into my machine, I found that every single one of them was "Aborted by Project". What exactly does this mean and why were they aborted??? I searched for this subject on the message boards under the 'Number Crunching' section and found no information. Thanks |

What exactly does this mean and why were they aborted??? On the website it says 'abandoned' but that is a generic phrase just like 'aborted', it just means you didn't crunch the unit. Did you change any settings on that pc? Did you downgrade the Boinc version for instance? |

Negative. 7.0.64 always. Strange. BOINC is like a Ferrari, when it runs, it's awesome! When it's broken and needs repair, it's a hella big deal. :P |

Could the WUs have passed their "crunch by" date? Go away, I was asleep |

If I remember correctly, they were all due on the 15th. I dunno, baffling. :P |

If I remember correctly, they were all due on the 15th. I dunno, baffling. :P Which of your 11 machines were they running on? Without that, it's a bit like looking for a needle in a haystack. With it, we might be able to drill down into your result lists and (perhaps - I'm guessing here) find that they were the N-Body 1.10 tasks released on 31 May, but withdrawn on 03 June after they were found to fail with a 'not enough coffee' error - see News thread. |
