The "suspended by user" and "resumed by user" is me attempting to fix the problem by turning off AMD overdrive, but the GPU just rip through the 3 WUs I'm sent in barely 20 seconds in total and get computation error on all of them.

Try this:
Install Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package for 32bit

It stops the really short units at other projects, no idea if it will work for you though. I see your pc is a 64bit one, no idea if they make a 64bit package, but if you are only getting 32bit units it may not matter.

The other problem is you could be using a MUCH too new driver, look around and I think you will find that the driver version that does work with a 6950 is 13.1 which can be gotten here:
http://www.hal6000.com/seti/boinc_ati_gpu_cheat_sheet.htm

Downloads are at the very bottom of the page.

I have visual C++ 32bit (x86) and 64bit of both 2010 and 2012 types.
Downloading the old driver now and testing that.

OK, now it says "GPU missing". Drivers are working perfectly, yet BOINC don't think so.

I don't know then, the 6950 gpu's have long been a problem here, but I thought the 13.1 version was what made them work.

Well now it works, have no idea why, I just installed the newest driver plus all the extra software included in the .exe.

Actually, it still fails the "MilkyWay@Home v1.02 (opencl_amd_ati)" tasks. I've changed that machine to "work" and made so that the "work" group don't download those tasks, but it refused to play ball the first time I tried. What do I have to write in the local xml file to get it to stop this nonsense? Every time it downloads the "MilkyWay@Home v1.02 (opencl_amd_ati)" tasks it fails them and then it stops getting WUs due to failure rate.

The easiest way is to go on the website under your account, mw@home preferences and then edit this section:
Run only the selected applications
MilkyWay@Home
MilkyWay@Home N-Body Simulation
Milkyway@Home Separation
Milkyway@Home Separation (Modified Fit)

Uncheck the first one and you stop getting those units. In the process make sure your pc IS in fact in the 'work' group by going into your account, Computers on this account then viewing the one having problems. At the very bottom of the page is where you can put it in the 'work' group in your case, then as soon as you either you do a manual update of the project on that pc, or when that pc contacts MW, it should pop into the 'work' group.

HD 5800s & 6900s can only crunch MW v1.02 WUs with the Cat 13.1 driver (& you need to do a 'deep' clean of previous drivers), unless you're prepared to do some messing around with the drivers, in which case read this thread http://milkyway.cs.rpi.edu/milkyway/forum_thread.php?id=3400
Team AnandTech - SETI@H, DPAD, F@H, MW@H, A@H, LHC, POGS, R@H, Einstein@H, DHEP, WCG

It works now. I put it to work doing only "Milkyway@Home Separation (Modified Fit) v1.34 (opencl_ati_101)" WUs. Not going to mess with it now, just going to leave it alone and not break it.

Good thinking. Never mess with a stable system.
