I would prefer this project to any other in BOINC, but you store all your intermediate data on C drive. For me, that is a small, fast SSD with not enough free space to run your project. I can find no way to redirect to my 2 TB drive, even after hacking through the config files.

You might want to allow the user to select which drive the data is on.

So I have to remove and reinstall BOINC?

Forget it; I'll just do another astrophysics project.

It's Boinc that needs reinstalling, ANY project you sign up for will use the folders you choose, sounds like the defaults, when you installed Boinc. Uninstalling and then reinstalling, using the options shown in the link, will get Boinc, and all of the projects you sign up, for off your C: drive. It's your "data" folder that Boinc is using, changing that on your own IS possible, but not nearly as easy as uninstalling and reinstalling and changing the folders in the process.

And uninstalling the BOINC programs doesn't delete your data folder.

The whole process - uninstall, move folder, reinstall with manual selection of new location - takes about a minute (once you understand the process), and doesn't even lose tasks in progress.
