Hi there!

It seems milkyway is having a hard time keeping my computer fed with workunits today. My 2 gpus will complete all the work given before the next time milkyway updates (every minute). Is something odd going on?

GPU work? I joined Milkyway to use my GPU, as it's one of the few sciencey projects that does GPU, but it never has any available! Only my CPUs do Milkyway, the GPUs only seem to get Einstein and SETI and Poem, while Milkyway and World Community Grid get no GPU work at all. And yes my Milkyway settings allow GPU work. I have a very fast AMD and a slower old Nvidia, and a couple of Intel built in graphics.

You are lucky to get GPU work from SETI, unlike me. World community have no GPU work. They had in the past but as of 2weeks ago I checked they had none. Check your event log if OpenCL is detected correctly.

I'm looking to run some tests enabling double precision optimization vs disabling it on my Titan Black cards to see how it goes, running either 5 or 10 MilkyWay@Home GPU tasks per card.

I've been using my cards primarily for GPUGrid for a while as that seems to get the most use out of them, but have thought for some time that perhaps I should be using them for MilkyWay@Home as the project might be able to make use of their high double precision performance.

Is there still an issue with there being a low number of available GPU work units? That obviously won't due well for an extensive set of test runs.

Cheers.

Just thought I'd share my experience after posting in this thread...

GPU and other tasks seem to be running fine. I've successfully done some initial tests running 4, 5, and 6 tasks simultaneously per GPU.
