One of my rigs has consistently not been getting any work for the past 10 hours (after I had to reboot it). The other is getting work, but also gets frequent messages saying "got 0 new tasks". Are the servers not capable of keeping up with the load? |

Are the servers not capable of keeping up with the load? When I look at your pc's it looks like the I7 lost the drivers, or isn't reporting them to Boinc, that could be why. |

The BOINC event log listed the drivers and this rig was successfully running a backup project on the GPU. I rebooted the system anyway, and now things seem to be OK. Weird... Thanks for the help! |

Are the servers not capable of keeping up with the load? It is some time since I received any MW WUs on either of my 2 pcs. Other applications are working as usual. Any advice? Thanks. Are the servers not capable of keeping up with the load? Your pc's are hidden and you gave no details so it's very hard to know where to even start. I run Windows pc's and my Nvidia 760 gpu gets units whenever I allow them. |

Are the servers not capable of keeping up with the load? I got it and after looking at your pc's Boinc is not recognizing either one of your gpu's at all, if you have installed the drivers from AMD or Nvidia then maybe just a reboot can help Boinc find them again. For example when I look at my pc here I see this under the gpu column: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 (2048MB) driver: 362.00 OpenCL: 1.2 But yours is totally blank. |

Any idea about mine? It is working fine on einstein@home but not on milkyway :'( https://einstein.phys.uwm.edu/show_host_detail.php?hostid=12302269 http://milkyway.cs.rpi.edu/milkyway/show_host_detail.php?hostid=697011 |

[quote][quote] Thanks, Mikey - most of this is over my head - so please bear with me. The decline in MW@home WUs started on 21/22nd June. That applies to my old Win 7 pc and my newer Win 10 machine. I am not aware of any fault or change of setting that would account for non-recognition of drivers. Why is MilkyWay having problems when SETI and LHC are working just fine? Before I "reboot" can I check what you mean by that? Is is sufficient to shut down and restart the pc, or do you want me to remove and re-install BOINC, or reinstall drivers? Routine pc restarts this week have not changed the situation - so I guess you mean something more radical? Thanks for your help. Roger Rogerp "Any fool can appreciate mountain scenery. Hey Roger, Looks like you are running Windows 32-bit which we do not currently support. I am slowly working on getting a running version for Win32, but it is very slow going. I apologize for any headaches this caused. Everyone else, I am unsure why you are no longer getting work units. We just recently discontinued the Modfit application, so maybe some BOINC applications are getting confused. Jake |
