Updated Server Daemons and Libraries

Hey Everyone,

I just updated the BOINC and MilkyWay@home server daemons to reflect the current most up-to-date versions available. If you notice you are still not getting work units for your GPUs or are having trouble in general post it here.

Thanks for the feedback. There are plenty of work units available, unsure why you aren't being assigned any. Check back in an hour or so and let me know if you got any work units over the hour.

everthing ok now. I stop projects and close boinc first and then restart. Wus start to coming.

I'm finally getting WUs for r9 fury, well done!
So far i got 61 validation inconclusive, 5 validated correctly and no errors.

Also can anyone confirm if they get WUs for the new rx480/470s?

Windows 10 x64 system, AMD Radeon HD 6800.

Sorry Cynthb but the AMD HD6800 series has no double precision capability.


you need an HD69xx or higher to work here in Milkyway.

Yes, it wasn't getting WUs before update. Now it gets WUs out of the box.

It was running just chipper last week.

My projects status states that communication is deferred 22:00:00 yet the status of all the servers shows green.

My PC (Radeon 280X) also isn't getting workunits. Most often it's getting 0 tasks when requesting new tasks.

Started having problems 2016-09-12, 2016-09-14 - 2016-09-20, and once again since 2016-09-23. PC have capacity of ~350k credits, and had days when it was < 100k (even below 20k).

Same thing here. No new tasks for GPU (completed tasks reported were CPU ones). But only few hours ago, I was receiving plenty of GPU tasks. It must be a very insidious bug indeed.

Hi, all of the Milkyway jobs are failing. Can you look into this.

The AMD ATI Radeon HD 5400/R5 210 series card does not support double precision. Double precision compute capabilities are required to run MilkyWay@home. Otherwise it looks like all of the computers running Nvidia cards are working well.

Everyone Else,

I think that I still need to tune a few server side work unit generation parameters to ensure enough are available. I'll keep working on that.
