Hello,

I would like to add a couple HD6970 cards to MW@H and have a question on drivers and the newer versions of WUs.

I know I've read about the issue with the 6950/6970 cards and drivers past 13.1, but that was on older versions of WUs and I haven't found anything on whether newer drivers work with these newest/newer WU versions.

Anyone have any answers on this?

Thanks!

OK, thanks! So it looks like that's not an issue anymore.

Are you running Catalyst 15.7.1 by chance?

Also with this system AMD A8 APU with Radeon HD 7640G, newest drivers for Win 10. No idea what's up.

I don't believe either of those are DP compute cards so they won't work on MW@H.

I'm using the latest non-crimson driver with my 6970 and my only issue is getting enough work units to keep it busy.

Ain't that the truth! And I have another 6970 I want to add.

I was running 12.1, then I tried 15.7.1 and noticed the GPU load wasn't as high as on 12.1 when doing 3 or 4 tasks. Also had issues with 15.7.1 doing something where a WUs would start to take like 30-40min eek!

I settled on 13.1 and all is running fine @925/1375. Seems optimum at 3 WUs for max performance/points. But like you said...keeping it fed is another story!
