The new release of N-Body work units hit my computer and the first one just completed running. It ran just fine, used 4 CPUs and had really lousy credit considering the level of effort expended. I have discontinued running N-Body pending revising the credit calculation to bring the effort level factor better into the realm of reasonableness.

My computer is an I7 CPU, 2.4GHZ, Windows 10 fully updated.

Hey Rob,

I think N-body's credit is dynamically determined based on effort expended over many computers and many workunits. That means for the first couple days you can probably expect fewer than expected credits, but it should fix itself as it sees these runs take longer.

A quick disclaimer though, I am not in charge of N-body and this information is just based on the few talks I've had with Sidd and previous N-body developers about credit allocation. For a definite answer Sidd would have to chime in, but he won't be back in the office until Monday.
