Being an "uninformed" cruncher I would like to ask, if I should stop crunching, because:
Out of 2553 WUs (last couple of days on 6 different PCs) I am getting
"Validation inconclusive" on 2373 WUs,
"Valid" on 137 WUs and
43 WUs "in progress".

This is also very "inconclusive" to me.
Is this OK or normal for this project?

So, should I STOP crunching?

I have been running various WUs of other projects - so far no problems.
I would appreciate any help/suggestions!

Read the News section, they are considering cancelling a bunch of the current work units due to problems someplace. I too have a BUNCH of inconclusive workunits(1945) and have stopped crunching until Monday when they make their decision. IF they decide to keep going I will go back to running them again then.

... thanks for the reply ...
That was sort of my understanding too.

But I wanted to put a "little pressure" on the project leaders, so that they understand that there are more than just one user having "troubles".

So for now I'm doing "no new tasks" ...
and will wait for Monday!

Have a nice day.

The count for "Validation inconclusive" has dropped down to 324 (just now) from around 2553 (as of 2. July).

Started crunching again.
Most result are now immediately "Valid".

BUT still have now three new WUs with "Validation inconclusive".

Sure would appreciate it, if someone could explain (in simple terms)
what the "problem" is.

Just beeing curious ... (and nerving - I guess).

I set all my pc's to no new tasks from MilkyWay, too much lag in sending out the workunit to the 2nd pc when two pc's are REQUIRED to validate a workunit!! To me that is unconscionable to use people like that!! IF only one pc was required it would be okay, but two pc's are REQUIRED, at a minimum, for each and every workunit here at MilkyWay and to NOT send it a 2nd pc at the same time as it's being sent to the original pc, or at least the next pc that asks for work, is unforgivable!! I have a 1.5 day workunit cache and I am RETURNING workunits that haven't even been SENT to a 2nd pc yet!!!

Something is terribly wrong here at MW.

See my message 66501 posted in this thread were I state having (at that time) a total of 2553 WUs.
In the mean time (yesteray or day before) I had way over 3000 WUs.
NOW MW says I only have a total of 2107 WUs !!!

I guess they disolve into thin air.
Maybe I'm missing out on something here?

I wonder if I will ever get an answer to this phenomenon from someone reponsible at MW.

So far also no answer to my question what "validation inconclusive" actually means.

I will stop crunching until I get a sound answer to both "problems".

Have a great day whoever was nice enough to at least READ this post/thread.
