For some reason, when running M@H, my GTX 970's GDDR RAM frequency runs at 3005 MHz vs. the 3505 MHz stock. Since M@H is the only project on BOINC that I know that uses the GPU, I can't test if this is M@H-specific or BOINC-specific. Could anyone kindly tell me another project that uses the GPU? Thanks. |

Here is a partial list of BOINC projects that have GPU apps. SETI@home apps Einstein@Home apps PrimeGrid apps GPUGRID apps Amicable Numbers apps |

Thanks. I hadn't noticed the Add a Project page on BOINC has a Nvidia icon for GPU projects, my bad! Anyway, the problem persists on another GPU project, so I made a thread about it: https://boinc.berkeley.edu/dev/forum_thread.php?id=12415#85934 Thanks. |

You'll want to run a different project on your 970 anyway, as the FP64 performance is very, very low. Asteroids or GPUgrid are likely the two best for Nvidia cards (IMHO of course) Which apps are you using that is reporting the Memory speed difference? GPU-Z? Afterburner? |

Thanks. I hadn't noticed the Add a Project page on BOINC has a Nvidia icon for GPU projects, my bad! That's not 100% accurate, but it is a start for instance if you click on Seti or Prime Grid it does not show they can use ATI cards but both CAN! If you click on Moowrapper or Collatz you can see they can handle both kinds of gpu cards. |
