Hey guys,

I've got quite some problems connecting to my machine with no monitor attached.

This is what I have tried:

RDP - GPU computing stops
TeamViewer - Once I close the RDP session I can't connect anymore
TightVNC - Whenever I connect I just see a black screen
Anydesk - I get the Windows Login screen, then I logon and it says "Waiting to reconnect" or something like that and Nothing happens anymore

Is it really that difficult to connect to a Windows 10 machine?

Splashtop works fine for windows and uses CUDA on systems with NVIdia chips. Limit of 5 free servers. No Linux support but do have iPhone. If a remote system is on a different subnet you can pay $11 a year for truly "remote" or "mobile" access.

I also use realvnc which has 5 free but does not support different subnets or mobile. I never got the Linux version to work but I am not a Linux expert and ssh seems to be ok for what I used Linux for.

I got it to work with Teamviewer now, not really sure what the issue was.
There seems to be only a 30-day trial of RealVNC?

Try Winvnc instead it's what I use and it has worked for years and is free. I set it to only accept connects from inside my network but I haven't gotten it to connect to anything but Windows pc's no Linux ones as of now. It also has trouble with some connections but not all the time, I'm guessing because not all my pc's use the same version of Windows and have the same updates on them. My pc's, 17 of them altogether, have various versions of Win7 and Win10 and Linux. I went to Linux on some because the Win10 updates broke some of my older pc's to the point they stopped crunching. They are old and slow but with 8/16 cpu cores and a fairly new gpu in each one it seemed silly to stop crunching with them.
