We're having some problems with the mysqld not reading it's configuration file. We're thinking this might be part of our problems. Anyways, we're banging away at it over here.

They were supposed to be checked by Travis first so they were made sure to give good results. Then that changed to being able to use any as long as the modification was made to note what app was used.

If it makes sense, DON'T do it.

Might try a 20lb. sledge instead of that 3lb.

A vulgar display. AHAHAHA! The pic was addressing your choice of curse words and reaction to your comment. It's called humor. I love optimized apps - especially when their creators work together with Admin to get them approved for the rest of the world to use.

Travis, since the project/forums keep going down you might want to take the opportunity to upgrade to the latest BOINC code.

How did you arrived at that conclusion?

Milkyway did not send WUs for the last 3 days (only for an hour or so in between). They are not exactly overrun by the results from any app for that matter. They would have problems with their database even if they unplug the network. The current situation is definitely not caused by an optimized application. Travis will say the same.

and then it cascades into all other projects ultimately bringing down the internet, satellite radio, and Major League Baseball.

I wonder if there's a few $billion left in the new Stimulus Package for a server and database upgrade?

Yeah this problem is definitely server side. Nothing to do with the optimized apps.

I think things are running a bit smooth right now..... so I'm starting to generate some work and see how things go.
