Ok, I started new searches (with fresh parameter files and star files), trying to figure out why some people are getting md5 checksum errors and other things.

Let me know if any of these are causing any problems.

thanks!

Also other new parameter and star files on my other boxes have been downloaded successfully.
Now I have to crunch them all, but I guess all will be fine. ;-)

@ Travis - Is there any of the star-files that can be deleted? I have these in Boinc: test21 stars, stars, stars-79, stars86-cut, stars82, stars_nm_stripe79, stars_nm_stripe79 1, stars_nm_stripe79 r2, stars_nm_stripe79 r6, stars_nm_stripe79 r7, stars_nm_stripe82 1, stars_nm_stripe82 r2, stars_nm_stripe82 r5, stars_nm_stripe86 1, stars_nm_stripe86 r2, stars_nm_stripe86 r6, stars_nm_stripe86 r7, stars_nm_test25, stars_nm_test26

*edit* also stars79 v3 & stars82 v3 with the last searches. This should cancel out these atleast right?: stars-79, stars82

Just thought I'd try to clean boinc up a bit. Nothing ever seems to delete normally.

I was wondering about that myself earlier today....will all these files just continue to accumulate and take up HD space, or does MW clean them up itself....

You may have just answered the question......

I haven't notice MW delete them, Rosetta will build up for awhile and then go down a bit. So I think it may. I think I deleted some before when the old serches were given up.

Maybe Travis can chime in and tell us how it is supposed to work.....

Yea, I've done that with rosetta before, just trying to save the re-download.

Easy enough fix I guess, if MW does not clean them up itself.....

Theyre sticky, they'll sit there. They use the mechanism invented for Einstein@Home.

But only a couple megabytes, surely?

Travis can issue a DELETE if he wants to.

~72 mb. Not a lot no, but unused junk can go.

Have reset before, not needed to detach. Had some Nano junk still left awhile back. :P Hadn't looked through it in awhile untill the opti apps here came about.
