Message 12594 - Posted: 23 Feb 2009, 18:39:44 UTC - in response to Message 12586.

That's why we're using reported CPCS...

Sorry, I don't get it right now... what is CPCS standing for?
(I am no native English speaker so some abbreviations just puzzle me. ;-)))

I'm not sure, but would assume its something like credits per core second!?

Good Point, that's probably a more accurate description nowadays.

*Grin* No problem. Most BOINC-related TLAs are well-known but I wasn't so used to calculate in CPCS. Mostly I am calculating credits per hour (cr/h) for my own computers. ;-))

Thrusting my oar in again ... it cannot be per core second ... my i7 has 4 cores and 8 CPUs ... 8 virtual CPUs if you get precise about it ...

So Cobblestones per CPU-second is correct ...

Remember, we measure in Cobblestones as opposed to Whetstones, Dhrystones, or Flintstones ...

Sorry....

CPCS = Credit Per Cpu Second.

Should we tell them that you love to use TLAs? ;-)

*ROFL* Funny enough I know TLA (Three Letter Acronym). :-D

Of course you all realize that CPCS is not a TLA, it's a FLA?
