Just a guess. Some people do it most of the day. Some don't. I got home 2hrs ago, exhausted as usual. You're up early, you're not normally here for another couple of hours.
Cheers,

I'm currently going through the rooms of a on-campus, university-owned, private hotel [hosts lots of conferences and gives the attendees somewhere to stay]. Many people have laptops [for some late-night surfing] or those dvd players with the 15cm screen [in case they wake up and can't get back to sleep] [and lots of books] beside their beds. As well as the usual batch of laptops [running, with Outlook open and all their emails there for the world to see], SecurID keys, USB drives, etc strewn over the desk. Security - i'm sure they've heard of it.
Cheers,

PeterV

Hmmm.. it doesnt sound much secure no. ;-)) but maybe most people think
its secure since its inside a room They hire - or have for their use.
I dont know. I guess there must be locks on the doors there, and that they
are used if so..? :p
Anyway... there is noone crawling under my bed whilst im sleeping - so
my laptop would be perfectly "secured". lol
But ok - I take it as if you dont think I should write any
whilst asleep.. :p I`ll take your advice. hehe

You often sound like you're asleep when you post. :)
But I was just saying that if you have some very important information, the sort that you could lose your job if you lose it, you don't leave it laying around your rented room, no matter how secure you think the room is. If it is that important then someone else may bribe one of the cleaning staff [who have master keys] to steal it for them. Which is why all usb drives come with a little hole - so that you can put it on your keyring and carry it everywhere.
Cheers,

Mmmmhh. hmm.. mhhh.. asleep? ehh.. mmm.. yeah.. i guess.... pPp lol

of course - if its job-related, and information that in fact belongs
to someone else - its another matter. Of course it shall be properly
secured. But strangely enough - even if they have "important and
well paid" jobs, too many have no idea about security on the pc or
internet. And in fact, many dont even know how to find their own
documents on their own pc - so they put all the most important stuff
on the main screen, for everyone to open without even looking for it. ;p
And then its the passwords.. they are not always too difficult to
figure out.. How come we humans have so little fantacy? hehe

Human beings are born by nature to be generally trusting souls, until the day that their trust gets misplaced and they learn one of lifes hard lessons. And that is that not all people are nice and behave honestly or honourably. People then learn, or should do, to take better care of themselves. Unfortunately in this busy world, people forget and get careless, then they are vulnerable.
